Dermatology is a division of medicine dealing with the skin and its diseases. It is a unique specialty with both medical and surgical aspects.
A Dermatologist is a Doctor who specializes in treating the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes (the lining inside the mouth, nose and eyelids). Dermatologists diagnose and treat more than 3000 different diseases.

Dr. Brown-Maher has been in practice since August 2006, treating patients from all over Newfoundland and Labrador. The Doctor and Nurse at the Dermatology Clinic can help guide you in treating the full spectrum of skin issues, from sun damage to serious skin conditions. From acne and rosacea treatment options, to the proper sunscreen and treatment of skin cancers, they will develop a customized care plan, perform all necessary procedures or biopsies, and prescribe the appropriate medications to ensure that your medical skin conditions get the attention and treatments available.
